Town Books is hosting a fabulous artist collective exhibit this summer featuring the works of seven wonderful local female artists. Come see their exciting and varied new works and drop in for the opening reception on July 10th from 5 to 7 pm.   For over three decades, Michael has chronicled the world through the lens of his travel journals. His style is loose and able to capture the unexpected, which often happens when he uses ink and watercolors plein-air. He has found that his most creative expressions come when he breaks the rules, mixes mediums and plays with colors that he feels rather than sees. Come join this visual travelogue at Town Books throughout May and June.  Lynn O’Brien is a Marin based artist specializing in urban and travel sketching and watercolor painting. She uses a mixed media approach to capture local and faraway subjects in her sketchbooks. She also enjoys painting large format watercolors. Come in and see Lynn's beautiful paintings! IDIE WEINSOFF is a Fairfax resident. She studied Painting & Printmaking at SUNY New Paltz. IDIE appreciates landscapes, though now she primarily focuses on still life and figure painting. The play of light and shadow is what she tries to capture in her studies of everyday objects.  |
