COVID-19 Bookstore Procedures

8/10/2020

Town Books has adopted a Site-Specific Protection Plan (SSP) detailing our compliance with required procedures to protect our volunteers and customers during this time of continued exposure to COVID-19. The complete, detailed SSP is physically posted in a visible location at the store. Here is a basic summary of the precautions we are taking:

1.INDIVIDUAL CONTROL MEASURES AND SCREENING
Before each volunteer comes to work they will self-screen for any warning signs or symptoms of COVID-19. If they have any symptom or if anyone they live with has been diagnosed with COVID-19, they will not come to work.
Volunteer Workers will wear a properly fitted mask at all times.
A plexiglass shield has been installed at the counter to protect both volunteers and customers.
2. CLEANING AND DISINFECTING PROTOCOLS
Volunteers will clean commonly used surfaces at the beginning of each shift (every 3 hours).
3. PHYSICAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES
Customers are required to wear a mask to enter the store and customers will be asked to utilize a touchless hand sanitizer located at the entrance.
Five customers will be allowed in the store at any one time in order to allow them to maintain a 6 foot distance from others.
Customers are asked to use the Hallway entrance to the store and to exit through the door to the parking lot.

Thank you for your support of TOWN BOOKS – we look forward to seeing you again!
